Summer Reading Assignment 2025
We hope you'll be reading widely and frequently over the summer!
Reading builds world knowledge, vocabulary, and empathy, helping to supercharge your learning.
Middle school students are required to read one book this summer.
The Crossroads summer reading assignment is to read one book of your choosing, although we encourage you to read as much as possible. Upon returning to school, you will be expected to discuss your book. To prepare, please see sample fiction and nonfiction questions that help you to pause and think deeply about what you are reading.
Enjoy getting lost in a book!
